Star 6 Ranch... Family Reunion

Coming together is the beginning... Keeping together is progress Working together is success!! Henry Ford My sister & I decided it was time for a family reunion this summer. We imagined a hot, sunny day with water games & a BBQ, ending with a spectacular fireworks show. Our worry was... that we might have to forgo the fireworks because of dry, dry grass. Much to our chagrin, the 3rd of July, 2009, held cold, damp, rainy weather!!! You would never know it from the pictures that we let that ol' rain interfere in any way. We had a wonderful reunion of the Kenneth & Mae Myers Family. Our dad's sister Laura came from Laketown to spend the day with us and share stories and insight from her perspective. My sister opened her home and around sixty of us enjoyed a very special day. Breakfast, family history, horseback riding, games, the best ever grilled hamburger & hot dogs... salads galore, Texas Sheet Cake & ice cream...pictures, a flag retiring ceremony, singing patriotic songs, and last but not least... a fireworks show that dazzled the best of us! Thanks to everyone for their efforts in getting there and being part of this wonderful family! Mom & Dad would have been so proud!!
