My bed and favorite pillow bring me a lot of joy... I've always used a foam pillow. (And they are hard to find in the stores anymore!) Actually when I was growing up I slept on "two" foam pillows. Everyone has their favorite kind... I even travel with it or I don't sleep very well. When I look at this picture, it makes me take a deep breath and appreciate not sleeping on the floor, or a mat, or a straw tick mattress.
Corrrie ten Boom described sleeping on the cement floor in a concentration camp during World War II, with a little straw thrown down. No bathroom, no pillow, no blankets. They were awaken every morning at 5:30am to go outside and stand in the freezing cold for roll call. How did they do it? How could human beings be so cruel? Today I am thankful and grateful for the blessing of clean sheets, blankets and my pillow.
